South Hunsley Parent Teacher Association
Who are we?
A group of people made up of parents, staff and friends of South Hunsley School, who want to provide additional resources which will improve the learning experience and opportunities for all children who attend South Hunsley School.
What do the funds support?
PTA raises funds to pay for the extras that cannot be provided by the school budget, for example we have donated money for:
- A drum kit
- SHS involvement in the Schools Shakespeare programme
- Sponsorship of the School Rewards Scheme
- Sports Equipment, team sport kits, refurbishment of Ridings Gym changing rooms, 3G all weather pitch.
- Financial support for a number of student projects eg Rock Challenge.
We have initiated an annual ‘Dragons' Den' where students and staff can pitch for money to support their pet-projects and investments.
Would you like to support your child's PTA?
We always welcome new members.
- Can you help us by sharing your expertise?
- Can you help by organising or attending some of our events? (eg the Fun Run, the Brass Band concert.)
- Would you consider donating to the PTA via ParentPay or the school website?
- Joining and supporting your child's school PTA demonstrates to them that you value their school and the work they achieve within it.
