Fund Raising Ideas
Why not apply for sponsorship to a company? A template will be put here soon to do so....

Here's some ideas to get you started
The following have proved successful in the past and of course if you have any ideas of your own then we would all like to hear them!

1. Baby Sitting
2. Car Washing - you will need to wash lots of cars to raise a substantial amount, but if you tell people about your tour they may give you a little extra.
3. Sponsored activities - eg Beverley, Elloughton and Walkington 10km running races (get fit and raise money). Many other ideas exist but be imaginative - the wackier the better.
4. Busking in school playground. (ask permission first).
5. Car boot sales. - ask family and friends, and write letters to your neighbours in the street asking for any goods they don't want that you could sell to raise funds. Collect for a few weeks until you have a good stock then sell at N. Cave Car boot which runs every Sunday morning.
6. Saturday Jobs.
7. Bonus Ball - You may need to pair up to do this successfully - You sell 49 numbers on a block booking of 10 weeks minimum to family and friends. If their number is drawn out as the lottery bonus ball they receive£25 (1 in 49 chance!). You keep £24 profit per week. NB - Give yourself a chance to sell as many (if not all) numbers before the draw counts.
8. Home made cake sales. Gardening; mowing lawns; weeding.
9. Guess the number of sweets to win the jar.
10. Sweep stakes on different events. - Write the names of major sporting events and place them in a hat. (eg the grand national; grand prix races; tennis tournaments). Sell the opportunity to win half of the proceeds if their choice wins the event. You make half the proceeds in profit.
11. Player sponsors - Private companies (See RMo for a letter structure and approval before writing to any companies).
12. Santa's Christmas letters - ask friends and family who have small children if they would like you to send their child a reply from Santa regarding their wish list. (Charge a small fee to cover costs and profit).

BE INVENTIVE - LOOK FOR IDEAS ON THE INTERNET - THE MORE WACKY THE BIGGER THE RESPONSE!!??!!
